Hope and Connection

We went to a Christmas sing along today, which I usually enjoy very much. The one this year seemed different though. I am not sure if it was different, or if I am just in a different place in my life and it seemed different to me. I didn’t recognize a lot of the music, so that made it somewhat boring. So, I used my time wisely to think and ponder! I looked around at all of the people, and I wondered to myself if we are all just longing for connection with other people. The Internet came to mind, and I thought how it is wonderful we are able to connect via the Internet. However, I also felt somewhat sad because it seems like people are really longing for connection with people in real life. I am wondering if the Internet is enhancing this, or if it is taking us farther away from real connection.

It feels as though we are all hoping that things are changing. When Obama won the election, it seemed to give people a new kind of hope. I think people are so desperately wanting to have Peace and Connection and Hope that things will change. I really do think there is a parallel going on in our world right now. There are things going on that make it feel like we have such a long way to go to fix things, but then there is this positive energy flowing that is right there beside the not so good stuff. I think this positive streak will win out. I think we are all longing for this connection with each other and this will create change. I think people are ready.

I choose to focus only on the positive things happening. I really believe that the more people we have focused on the good, the more likely it is to happen. I believe in the Law Of Attraction. What we focus on is what we get. So, if our conscious thoughts are focused on connection with others, and positive things happening in our world, I think it is only a matter of time that we are going to see a huge shift to a more peaceful world.

Good thing I had some time to sit and think while listening to music at the same time! The concert did get a little bit better, but I really enjoyed watching the audience enjoying being all squished in next to their families and also strangers. The positive vibes were flowing!
