Authenticity

When I come from a place of authenticity, all is right. I can feel it deep within myself. Even if I am feeling something that is not easy to admit, if I am authentic, I am able to get through the feeling faster and I heal faster. Being honest with ourselves is the first step to authenticity. As children we are often taught to stuff our feelings, to just “suck it up”, and move on. This teaches us to be someone we’re not. We learn to stuff our true self and replace that person with someone that fits the role of what others want from us.

Well, this is the year that my true self will shine in all it’s glory! I know now that it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about who I truly am. If I am coming from a place of true authenticity, then I am doing my part to bring joy into the world. I believe with all my heart that there is a major shift of consciousness happening in our world right now. The Universe really is expanding, and we as humans are being given the opportunity to expand with it. Love, peace, joy, kindness, and authenticity will rule!  I believe that people are starting to realize that we all need to nurture ourselves and each other so that change can happen in our world. We are becoming the authentic people that we were meant to be. It is exciting!!

Here is a video of one of my favorite authors and parenting coaches. Naomi Aldort helped me so much when I was struggling early on with parenting. She taught me so much about being an authentic parent. I imagine a world where all children will be treated in a loving, kind, respectful, authentic way.

“Imagination is everything. It is a preview of life’s coming attractions.”~ Albert Einstein
